Best weapons for each biome
There's no single best weapon — different biomes punish different playstyles. Tier list based on the trait synergy at each biome's weapon proficiency level.
Biome 1 — Overgrown Ruins
- Tachyomatic Carbine with Burst Fire + Critical Hit. Reliable, good Phrike fight.
Biome 2 — Crimson Wastes
- Hollowseeker with Portal Beam. The auto-tracking saves Ixion phase 2.
- Backup: Pyroshell Caster for crowd control.
Biome 3 — Derelict Citadel
- Coilspine Shredder — disc bounces between Nemesis heads.
- The cramped indoor sections favor projectile-bounce weapons over hitscan.
Biome 4 — Echoing Ruins
- Dreadbound — works in tight Hyperion arenas.
- Coilspine Shredder carries over from biome 3.
Biome 5 — Fractured Wastes
- Hollowseeker with Portal Turret — passive damage stacking is huge here.
- Verticality matters; favor weapons with auto-tracking.
Biome 6 — Abyssal Scar
- Hollowseeker still king for Ophion.
- Pyroshell Caster if you can land grenades in tight phases.
Weapons to skip
- Sidearm SD-M8 is a starter pistol — drop it the moment a real weapon appears.
- Modified Spitmaw Blaster — high spread, low control. Niche.
If stuck: weapon proficiency level matters more than weapon choice. A high-prof Hollowseeker beats a low-prof anything. Kill enemies with whatever gun you have first; don't reroll constantly.
