How to beat Hyperion (Echoing Ruins boss)
Hyperion is a giant living pipe organ. Fight has two arenas — most players don't notice.
Phase 1: top of the room
- Hyperion launches red orbs in fan patterns. Strafe diagonally — backing up doesn't outrun them.
- Pillars rise from the floor — they block bullets. Use them as cover, but don't camp one — Hyperion fires beams that destroy pillars.
- Adrenaline level 3+ here is huge for the next phase.
Phase 2: drop down
- After Phase 1, the floor opens. Drop down to the lower arena.
- More mobility, denser bullet patterns. Sprint constantly.
- The yellow energy beams rotate slowly. They look terrifying — they're not. Just keep moving in one direction.
Phase 3: aerial combo
- Hyperion summons mini-organs that fire at the same time. Take out the small ones first — the boss can't kill you, the adds can.
- Dreadbound with Trick Tower trait shines here.
Loadout that works
- Dreadbound — works phenomenally in the cramped lower arena.
- Coilspine Shredder — Phase 1 because of pillar bouncing.
If stuck: if you die in Phase 1, your real problem is loadout. Phase 2+ is a movement test, not a DPS test — Phase 1 is where DPS matters.
