Where to find B-12
B-12 is the small drone that becomes your inventory, your translator, and basically the reason the rest of the game makes sense. You meet B-12 in The Flat, the chapter right after the Zurk chase.
- Climb the apartment building following the standard jump prompts.
- Enter the cluttered apartment through the open window. This is The Flat — explore it, the Memories collectibles start here.
- Reach the workbench in the back room. B-12 is in a glass cylinder on the desk.
- Press triangle to free B-12. Cutscene plays.
After this, you can press down on the d-pad to bring up B-12's inventory and Memories. You did not have this menu before — that's why earlier collectibles seemed unstorable.
If stuck: if your cat won't enter the apartment, you missed a jump on the AC units one floor down. Backtrack.
